Spazio Bizzarro IN THE AIR is an intensive professional formation in aerial disciplines dedicated to adult professional performers or students of intermediate/high level. It’s organised by Spazio Bizzarro in collaboration with Il Dedalo.
This formation is sponsored by Ministero della cultura and supported by A.C.C.I.
The main purpose is to offer artists and acrobats the possibility to enrich their artistic and technical knowledge.
At the end of the week, you will receive a certificate of attendance, that doesn’t qualify you as a professional instructor in aerial disciplines recognised by sports institutions.
Spazio Bizzarro IN THE AIR also aims to connect new artists with organizations that operate in the Italian contemporary circus scene. That’s why we have scheduled some time to shoot a personal short video we’ll share with associated companies such as Circo Madera, Blucinque, Circo Zoé, Circo El Grito, eVenti Verticali, Teatro Nelle Foglie.
How and When
Spazio Bizzarro IN THE AIR is dedicated to 2 small groups of 8 students maximum per session and will focus on aerial techniques and research.
2023 NEWS: We have scheduled a whole session of artistic creation, directed by Francesco Sgrò.

Artistic creation session will be organised according to work requirements, but working hours will be from 9am to 6 pm every day. Saturday 9th of September at 9.30pm there will be a public presentation inside Parco Vivo.
We care about training artists and acrobats conscious about safety, so we offer you the option to complete your formation with Aerial Disciplines Rigging Course, taught by Monkey Rigging. It will take place on September 23rd and 24th for a total amount of 16 hours of formation, at Spazio Bizzarro. During the course you’ll analyze and set up specific rigs and performers handlings with complex techniques and materials. Overhead Work and PPE Course is required to attend this formation.

Where
Classes will take place at Spazio Bizzarro big top and Il Dedalo, our indoor training space dedicated to yoga and aerial training, both in Casatenovo (Lecco), 10 minutes walk from each other.
Costs
Aerial disciplines training course costs
20€ membership and insurance fee (valid 1 year)
450€ early bird price valid until 30days before the start (see deadline below)
500€ full price for inscriptions during the last 30days before the start

If you want to participate to two or more sessions you’ll have a 15% discount from the second on, to be paid in 2 parts (deposit+final payment). Insurance and membership price can’t be discounted.
For example, if you choose to attend 3 sessions at early bird price, you’ll pay 1215€ = 450€ (1st session) + 765€ (=900€-15% price for 2nd and 3rd sessions). You’ll have to sum 20€ for insurance and memebership.

Fill in the form at this link INSCRIPTION FORM. We’ll send you an email with deposit payment details (half of the total price). Once we have received your payment, your spot will be confirmed.
Final payment and membership fee can be paid with bank transfer immediately before the start or the first day of formation by cash, credit or debit card.
ATTENTION! You’ll need a valid NON-competitive sports medical certificate, with ECG, to activate the insurance – expiring after the end of the training course. If we don’t receive it before the start, we won’t admit you to the training space.
Accommodation suggestions
Il Dedalo is our little studio, cosy and equipped for a comfortable stay with your sleeping bag.
Training mats will be available to sleep on. You’ll also find a comfortable bathroom and equipped kitchen with electric cooking hob, microwave, kettle and fridge.
We ask you for a donation of 15€ per night to stay at Il Dedalo.
It’s possible to park your camper or van outside Parco Vivo, where our big top stands: the parking is huge and free, used only during the day by patients of the adjacent hospital.
If you want more comfortable accommodation, we can give you the contacts of some friends that can rent you a little apartment.
